The doorbell rang. I opened the door. A girl was selling cookies. I asked her how much. She said six dollars a box. I told her I'm not exactly John Rockefeller or Andrew Carnegie.

She looked dumbfounded. I purchased one box.

Era

 I created this abstract concept last night. I used pastels and an empty diet coke box. I'm not sure about its measurement but it is about 11 inches by 15.5 inches. It did take a good 2-3 hours to complete it. I like the way the colors sit so close together. I don't know if I will put it up for sale yet. I might just admire it for a few more days. I will definitely create some (smaller) similar pieces. I have titled this "Era."

 

Pastels On Fish Box

 Here are 4 new pastel pieces I just created. I used oil pastels and an empty fish fillet box. I was surprised how bright the pastels look on the cardboard. The only thing I don't like about pastels is how easily they rub off on your fingers. But I usually expect to get a little messy when it comes to creating art. :-)
