Just sketched this tree in my new pocket sized sketchbook.

I Dream Them

At two o'clock in the morning I do not know what is left to be taken advantage of. If I poke my eyeball with a graphite pencil will it bleed right away or will it simply fester for some time before it explodes? I lay carelessly on a stack of books and sort through the images floating in and around my head.

If I were a lunatic I believe some things would be easier to tolerate. I often traverse the many continents of my subconscious world. There are many things I ignore and many things that humanity ignores.

We are not machines but we think we are. We are not hollow beings without emotion. We absorb the good and the bad because they aid us in our sociological development.

At two o'clock in the morning I do battle with some impending insecurity. It makes a mockery of me, perniciously. Now, dreams are made for dreamers and I dream them.

I am still without internet access in my new place but I have been able to keep busy with my band and other artistic endeavors. Just yesterday I purchased a new sketch book and have been making sure to draw as much as possible. I've noticed that when I draw a real subject that is in front of me then the sketch itself automatically has a sense of "realness" to it. Anyway, here is a short video of the first sketch I did yesterday. It is of a neighbor's car. It is kind of small and off center but it'll do for a sketch. :-)

For My Art

 So I finally decided to create a separate blog for my many artistic endeavors. My other blog Universality  has been serving its purpose well and I plan on maintaining it for as long as possible. I just figured I should setup something that would allow for more free-form thought. My own free-form thought mostly. Not that I haven't done so on my other blog(s) before. But now that I am starting to venture out into other avenues of artistic expression I thought it best to have some cyber-space set aside and ready for some creatively interesting posts. In short, I will be posting my numerous artworks, photos, short stories, poems, ideas, musings, music, theories, and possibly some book reviews/recommendations. I will make sure to remind myself to post something new EVERYDAY. Because each new day brings renewed energy!
